The owner, April Watson began homeschooling over 20 years ago (before parents' right to homeschool had even been confirmed by the Texas courts).  The mother of five children and ten grandchildren, she is known for her gentle wisdom and patient mothering style.  April lives in the Cinco Ranch area with her husband, Bob, and Cassie, her  Pomeranian

April's daughter, Laura Hogan, has been in love with homeschooling ever since she discovered this method of education at the age of 15 and convinced her family to give it a try.  After studying English, History, and Secondary Education in college, Laura briefly taught in a private school before the birth of her first child.  Laura tutored and taught homeschool co-op classes for over ten years before finally starting The Curious Mind's homeschooling program (Katy Homeschool Classes).  She is the busy mother of a junior-high age daughter and two elementary age sons.
